As with any competitive online game, it’s tempting to cheat in pubg cheats to give yourself the edge you need to win. But it’s a bad idea. Cheating sucks the fun out of the game for everyone, and it can get your account permanently banned.
That’s why PUBG Corp is taking steps to crack down on players using hacks and cheats in its latest update, with suspects being subjected to more scrutiny than ever. Players who’re caught will be hit with a hardware ban — meaning they’ll have to create a new device and redownload the game in order to play again. They may also be subjected to a hefty VAC ban on their Steam account, which can affect other games they play on that platform.
The Vulnerability
Those with a mod or other hacks installed will be flagged for review by the system, and if they’re found to have used any unfair means in gameplay, they’ll receive a warning that they’re under investigation. This includes players who use ESP, aimbots and other hacks to help them play the game more efficiently. ESP, or enemy positioning systems, allow players to see the movements of other players on the map. Aimbots, meanwhile, are software that automatically aligns a player’s gun sights with enemies, making them easier to kill without much effort.
The report button, which can be accessed on the death screen, remains available for players who want to flag a suspected cheater. PUBG Corp is generally pretty good at blocking these people, but the more obvious ones should be reported right away so that they don’t have the opportunity to ruin the game for others.
