Twisted builds bespoke Land Rovers

UK-based firm Twisted is building a line of custom-built, retro-styled Defenders. Available in either petrol or diesel, the company’s models come with a wide range of upgrades to keep them looking and driving great.

Twisted has also teamed up with Land Rover to build 25 re-engineered V8 Defenders for a special engagement that takes its cue from the Camel Trophy rallies of old. These 90 and 110 wheelbase 4x4s will arrive in Eastnor Yellow and Narvik Black paintwork and will feature a range of off-road upgrades like underbody protection, mud terrain tires, and an expedition cage.

The 16 re-engineered Defenders Twisted has released will cost around PS35,000 each, depending on the engine and upgrades. They’ll have upgraded suspension, brakes and wheels, along with a range of other modern features, including leather and an infotainment system that brings Apple CarPlay.

If you want something with a bit more power, there’s the Twisted Works version that carries a 380hp, 3.2-litre turbo petrol engine mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission. Prices for this model begin at PS194,500+VAT, rising to PS255,800+VAT for a TTD Station Wagon with a 2.4-litre diesel engine.
